what to wear to fall and winter weddings

what to wear to fall and winter weddings

A few weeks ago I was able to attend one of my childhood best friend’s weddings back in Florida and it was such a treat being home (and out of the cold!) The dress worn above is from Lulu’s and I just love how affordable and versatile it is! It can be worn so many different ways depending on body type or how you’re feeling that night. I actually bought it as a bridesmaid but it is always my go-to dress for fall weddings!

tote bags to take you from work to the weekend

Isn’t it true that moms give the best gifts? My mom recently came into town to see our new home and help me start planning for our wedding and of course when moms come in town they have gifts with them too! To my surprise, it was this amazing black and tan REVERSIBLE work bag from Lacoste.

apple watch series 4 review

I have been (jealously) eyeing everyone with an Apple Watch for well over a year now. I always thought I was someone who didn’t need another tech accessory or the whole world on my wrist. But after a week of using my Apple Watch (i have the 40mm in rose gold), I gotta say I am OBSESSED. It’s way more than just a convenience or an accessory, it truly has become a necessity for me!

the most magical denim for fall

the most magical denim for fall

It’s that time of year again! DENIM SEASON (aka Fall). I probably avoid wearing pants/leggings as long as I can. I absolutely loath the feeling of being constricted but have come to realize that a good pair of denim shouldn’t feel that way. Investing in quality over anything is my top priority these days, so if you’re looking for some good pair of denim to last you for years to come, I’ve got you covered!

what i learned in a year of living together + big announcement!

what i learned in a year of living together + big announcement!

So as we approach October (woah, already?), I have realized that Noah and I will have survived a whole YEAR of living together, which is so crazy to think about! It honestly feels like we just moved in together after spending over a year apart. (If you want long distance tips, comment below!) During this time we spent the year getting to know life in downtown Denver as well as getting to know each other more too. We learned how to be roommates and respect each other’s space and discovering our needs, wants and spending LOTS more time together (which of course I love, but it also presents new challenges). Overall, this past year has been quite the adventure, filled with so many blessings, but is just the start to something beautiful.

What better day to write a post about style at the office than a Monday? And what better time to write this post than the day before I start MY NEW JOB?

Whether you have your brand new job (or internship) or you're just sick of wearing the same things over and over and over (guilty) I am hoping to inspire you to feel motivated and ready to strut your stuff in the workforce! Rule numero uno is always; It's always better to be over dressed than under dressed.

how to ace a job interview

how to ace a job interview

I posted recently on the ‘gram that I just landed a new job as a Digital Designer! (yay)

But something that I always stress over is the interview process. I think I can build a pretty good resume, cover letter and can make myself sound good on paper. But being grilled in front of a group of people just feels soooo uncomfortable!

monday realness: 3 ways to help with anxiety

monday realness: 3 ways to help with anxiety

let's be real

I posted yesterday on instastories how my anxiety/depression takes over my mind A LOT. and it got me thinking how more and more people are talking about anxiety and how it effects the way we work, act and live our lives. I think it's interesting too how it seems to hit us all as we become adults. Whether it's around socializing, succeeding or just trying to be perfect, it's become a huge struggle for most adults.

P.volve review: i tried this victoria's secret model workout & here's what i thought

I started doing P.volve on and off for about 3ish months and instantly fell in love! A little about my workout background is one that was always obsessive and I firmly believed if I didn't sweat or get my heart rate above 130, it didn't count. I had been big into Kayla's BBG program, running, Pure Barre, Cycling and nothing really gave me the body type I wanted. I had strong, bulky thighs from cycling and pure barre, I had achy knees from running and BBG and I had nothing close to a feminine body. (not saying there is anything  wrong with a strong female body and I am SO grateful to be able to do those workouts, but it wasn't working for my goals)

end of summer faves under $100!

Ever since August hit, my mind has been searching for cooler weather and wondering, "IS IT FALL YET?!" But seeing as this has been the heat wave of the century, it doesn't look like it's going to cool down anytime soon. So I figured I would round up a few of my late summer favorites for under $100 if you too are still sweating while walking to your car.

monday realness: being you in a world of labels

monday realness: being you in a world of labels

So yesterday I posted an instastory making breakfast with eggs and cow's yogurt and it got me thinking how I had called myself vegan for so many years. While I really enjoyed the good that comes with that label; like bettering the environment and having less blood on my hands, I found that it didn't do a whole lot of good on my mental state. The pressure to live up to the label and restrict myself kind of caused a whole new counter attack on my mind that I wasn't expecting. So many things became a "No, I can't have that" instead of a balanced "I'd prefer if I didn't"

living an active lifestyle

I've been living in Colorado for almost 2 years and if there is one thing I have notices about this state is that everyone that lives here is super active and I love it! I feel like i have found my people. It's one of my favorite things about Denver and it seems to just come so naturally to everyone here. Noah and I will bike to HH or take the pups on nice long hikes in the mountains... with 300 days of sunshine it basically make you want to be outside!
